As per the WEEE regulations Powertools Ireland will take back your WEEE on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis free of charge.
‘Takeback’ is on a one-for-one basis only and the product must be of a similar type as the new item purchased. For example if you are buying a new drill we will take back your old drill free of charge and ensure that it is disposed of correctly.
Waste batteries are taken back in store on a one-for-zero basis (i.e. no purchase required) as long as they are of equivalent type to that sold by us. WEEE and waste batteries can also be returned to your local civic amenity site free of charge. The following link will show you how to find the civic amenity site closest to you where you can recycle your WEEE, batteries and light bulbs, https://www.weeeireland.ie/household-recycling/where-can-i-recycle/.
All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle your old electrical goods and batteries.
